Honeymoon - Day 5

Day 5
London

We started the day by going to St. Paul's Cathedral. It was beautiful inside and out. And of course, no photography was permitted inside.

Ken decided we both needed pictures of us on the steps where Mary Poppins fed the birds in the Disney movie. Soooo...
(go ahead and start humming "feed the birds, tuppence a bag...)
Ken's "Mary Poppins" moment.

My "Mary Poppins" moment.

Ken climbed to the very top of the cathedral. I made it about halfway up and the height about killed me. I waited for him and ate tic-tacs to combat my nausea. Ken got some really great pictures from his solo flight to the top.

We left St. Paul's and ventured over to Westminster Abbey for the second time on our trip. This time we were able to go inside. (no photos permitted, of course)
Wow! Shiny face AND no makeup. I'm a regular trophy wife!

We left Westminster and walked a few minutes to grab some dinner at a place where Ken and his dad had eaten at several years before. The food was really good, and we were both brave enough to try some authentic British food.

Hey... if it's good enough for Tony Blair it's good enough for us!

Our table. (the one with the yellow salt and pepper shakers on it) Ken said it was the same table he and his dad sat at when they were there.

After dinner, we went back to Westminster Abbey for an organ recital we had found out about the day before. It was AMAZING to sit inside the cathedral and listen to the incredible music surrounded by the beauty of the majestic building. It was definitely a highlight of our time in London!

We left the recital and walked around the area while we waited for the Abbey and Parliament buildings to light up.

Another end to another FABULOUS day!!
