We had a good Easter day. We went to church. Ken played for Sacrament Meeting and it was really nice. Ken's sister Cortnee came with us. It was good to have her there. It was a nice day for me too because as a member of the Primary Presidency, it was my month "off". No sharing time and no conducting. I just got to sit back and laugh at all of the cute kids. After church, Cortnee came over for lunch. I wanted to get some pictures but only got these three.
Here's Cortnee, unsure she wants her photo taken. Watch Ken in the next two photos... no change there.
Corntee thinks she might need to fluff her hair.
Yay! I got a smile... well from Cortnee at least.
The second part of our day was spent at my mom and dad's house. My mom is still down for the count with her broken ankle and my poor dad is tired of the Relief Society bringing casseroles and soup. Don't get me wrong... we're all grateful that my mom's ward is so amazing. They have been bringing in meals for two weeks. But my poor dad is in need of good old meat and potatoes so I cooked a turkey breast with all of the fixins.
Here's my cute dad cutting the bird...
and here's Tank just waiting for my dad to mercifully drop some his way.
Here's my mom...
and her new post-surgery hard cast.
Dinner is served!
Here's my handsome husband.
My older brother Clint showed up after dinner to visit.
My mom's neighbor decided to build a ramp to their front door. I posted these pictures mainly for my brother Brian to see. There's been a lot of "ramp talk" in the family. So here you go, Brian!
We stayed and visited a while and then went home and crashed. We're going to have a family Easter Egg hunt/BBQ at my parent's house this Saturday. We all weren't able to get together this past weekend so the Easter festivities will continue!
