251/365 - MoTab Christmas Concert...

Ken's mom was able to get 4 tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert this year. Those little tickets were hard to get! She decided not to come out to Utah after all and gave 2 tickets to us and the other 2 tickets to Ken's sister and her husband. So, the 4 of us met at last night at Temple Square for the concert. There were a few nativities set up. Not as many as in past years, but the ones that were out were beautiful.

Everything was all lit up!

We got to the Conference Center and noticed waterfalls over some of the windows. They were really pretty.

We got there early so we could choose some good seats. Ken has a "thing" with wanting an aisle/corner seat so he doesn't have to be sandwiched in between people. We were able to get him the perfect spot!

Our seats were near the big camera on the crane. It was a little spooky because during the show it would pan over us. You could have reached up and touched it. It bugged me at first but then I just got used to it. If you look closely, you can see the camera bar on the next 3 pictures.

Here's Ken with his sister Jaime.

I told Jaime's husband, Ty, if he wouldn't pose for a picture I would take one of him leaving and post it on the blog. Obviously I am a woman of my word.

Ty and Jaime.

The two of us.

The four of us after the concert.

The concert was great! After we left the Conference Center, we went to The Garden Restaurant in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We barely made it in time to be seated and had a great time laughing, visiting and sharing childhood Christmas memories while we ate french fries, creme brulee and chocolate cake. Thanks Shari! We had a GREAT night!!
