14/365 - Auntie Em, Auntie Em...

Our home is fully fenced in the back.
But the fence is 20 years old, and it's wood.
It's rotted.
It's warped.
It's rotted.
It's discolored.
It's rotted.
It's rotted.
It's rotted.
Now, it's broken.

We had a HUGE windstorm yesterday and our fence didn't exactly survive. I'm pretty sure a flying house straight out of Kansas knocked into it. Although it's not laying down completely flat, it's pretty bad and has pulled loose across the bottom. We went to Home Depot today to look at Vinyl and Trex fencing. Ken and I both agree that although it is pretty necessary to replace it, we may have to salvage it and add MORE steel posts to the back to prop it up for yet another windstorm. When do you call enough enough and just bite the bullet to replace it? If we didn't have a dog and enjoy the privacy from our back yard friends, I'd just vote to scrap it. Oh well. Here's what we currently have...

The pictures don't quite do the pitch of the lean enough justice. It now sits and bounces in the breeze. For now, Tank must go out on a leash. Dang it! Being a homeowner can sure be a drag at times!! (and this would be one of those times)
