Ken and I had a really busy day. We went to a sealing in the Salt Lake Temple today and a wedding reception. But we did manage to sneak off to the movies. We saw the new Harry Potter movie. We're a few days late. We're not people who jump on the "let's see it the night it opens" wagon. In fact, we went to the 5:15 p.m. showing and there were only 5 other people there - 6 if you count the newborn baby.
Here's my one and only problem with the movie...
This movie has special effects beyond amazing. They've created characters, an entire war and destruction of Hogwarts BUT they can't make Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ginny look older. At the end, the movie jumps 19 years ahead but everyone still looks the same. Cutting Ginny's hair shorter and throwing Hermione's into an updo doesn't do it for me. Neither does slapping a couple of kids with each of them. I just wanted them to look 19 years older. That's all. Other than that, 5 stars.
